In an interview with Joy News, Mrs Mould Iddrisu said she would be contesting for the position of vice chair when nominations open.

The NDC is in the process of re-organising its executive positions at all levels as part of preparations for the 2016 Elections.

The party is yet to open nominations for people to file and contest national executive positions but already campaigns by persons interested in various positions have intensified.

Making her intentions known, Mrs Mould-Iddrisu said an opportunity to serve as vice chair would enable her to show her leadership skills.

The former Minister of Education who also served as Attorney General and Minister of Justice resigned from government in 2012 over developments associated with the Alfred Woyome GhȻ51.2 judgment debt saga.

She was the Attorney General under whose tenure the judgment debt money was paid to Mr Woyome.

She told Joy News at the weekend that she would use her position to fight the course of women and the marginalised.

According to her, with her massive support base in the party, dedication and commitment in the NDC, she will not have any difficulties securing the position.

“I look at it as a challenge and an opportunity coming from my region, the Ashanti region, to represent them at the highest levels of our party decision making. And also looking at the gender angle. so far I am the only woman I think have shown hand even though we haven’t really opened nominations. And also the chance to serve the people of NDC”.

“Its also enabling me to show my leadership qualities, to show the grassroots activism that I think I’ve displayed over at least since 1996 elections. I will like to have more representation at various levels for the party.
