The Brong Ahafo Regional Police Command has expressed its appreciation to the President for providing it with over 70 new vehicles and equipment which enabled it to discharge its duties efficiently before, during and after the 2012 general election.

According to the command, it also helped to increase its fleet of vehicles for the sustenance of peace and tranquility and to enhance fight against crime in the region.
The Brong Ahafo Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police Robert Ayarlingo, expressed the appreciation on behalf of the officers and men of the command when the Chief Director of the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), Mr Felix B. Chaahah, on behalf of the President, presented a bull to the command for their annual West Africa Security Social Activity (WASSA) this year.
The gift was in appreciation of their good work in maintaining peace and security during and after the 2012 general election.
Mr Chaahah in a brief remarks said the President acknowledged the good work and professionalism exhibited by the Police to ensure a peaceful and violent-free election in the region and the nation as whole.
He expressed the hope that they would work hard to sustain the peace and tranquility in the region.
Mr Ayarlingo thanked the President for fulfilling his promise to equip the Ghana Police Service to deliver on its mandate.
He also expressed the appreciation of the command to the President for attending their WASSA last year when he was the vice president and chairman of the Police Council.
