They monitored the local elections which took place yesterday and will participate in seminars on elections,  and multi-party democracy and share experiences in the political field.

The delegation is among a number of international partners invited by the Danish Institute for Parties and Democracies (DIPD), to observe Denmark’s country local level elections held every four years.

The DIPD supports the strengthening of democratisation through collaboration with political parties and multi-party institutions.

This year’s elections are expected to elect 98 municipal and five regional councils.

A statement signed by Mr James Asante, the Director of Communications of NDC, said Mr George Lawson, a Deputy General Secretary, is acting as General Secretary of the party in the absence of Mr Asiedu Nketiah. The delegation will be away for 10 days.
