He said he saw two men on motor bikes following him.

Thinking they were party supporters, he [Omar Jallo] slowed down for them but was shocked when the men got down from the motor bikes with machetes and smashed the windscreen and bonnet of his car.

Alhaji Shadad who is yet to recover from the shock said, he had to speed off for his life when they approached him wielding the machetes.

He expressed shocked on how they could launch an attack around that time of the night when motorists and commuters briskly went about their activities.

He said they chased him till he got a police post few meters from the scene but the police chased them away.

The chairman said, the case has since been lodged with the Ashiaman Lebanon Police Station.

Alhaji Jallo has therefore called on the Municipal Assembly to as a matter of urgency fix the street lights at the Community 22 area since it has become a safe haven for criminals.
