Otto has a built in camera to watch over your house

Personal assistant robot watches over home with built in 'security camera'

Otto, created by Samsung, is described as a Chief Person Assistant Officer and is a handy friend to have around the house.

The video above shows Otto giving traffic updates as well as taking photos and sending them to family and friends.

The HD camera can stream live video to your mobile phone, tablet or computer, which essentially means Otto can also double as a home security device.

Amazingly, the camera can also recognise faces and control various connected gadgets around the home - for example, light switches or the fridge.

If it's raining outside, Otto will display raindrops on the front screen as well as various other animations depending on the app being used at the time.

At Samsung's keynote speech, Curtis Sasaki, Vice President of Ecosystems and IoT General Manager, announced the arrival of Otto in conjunction with its new ARTIK Internet of Things platform.
