Before a court sanctioned her arrest for two months today, prosecutors told the court they believe that individuals who "incited" her to carry out the killing are still at large.

She told reporters at the courthouse that "Allah ordered" her to carry out the act. Bobokulova - who smiled and yawned in court - also replied "yes" when asked if she accepted her guilt.

Sat in the metal cage reserved for defendants in Russian courts, Bobokulova waved and said:

"I am Allah's messenger. Hello everyone."

Bobokulova was arrested as half a dozen police officers swooped near Oktyabrskoye Pole metro station in Moscow, Russia, as she reportedly shouted she had a bomb.

The girl's mum, Ekaterina, was later seen being taken away by paramedics after being told her daughter had been decapitated.

The girl's mother was treated in hospital after collapsing when she was told the news by police.

Well-wishers in the Russian capital have been placing flowers and children's toys outside the subway station in memory of the little girl.

Russian officials have said Bobokulova was suffering from mental health problems.

The nanny is currently undergoing psychiatric testing to see if she is mentally sound and able to understand the significance of the crime she has committed.
