The hospital, which received the award in the health category for the delivery of best customer services to clients,  was among 21 organisations and individuals  honoured by The New Ghanaian (TNG), a sister publication of the West Africa International Magazine at a ceremony in Accra.

A plaque, a certificate and customised polo shirt were presented to the management of the hospital with the view of motivating them to sustain the core values of the hospital.

A citation accompanying the award described the hospital as a health institution serving the people of Ghana with the outmost care, quality and integrity.

This is the second time in six months that The Trust Hospital has picked an award in recognition of its provision of quality health care for the people. The hospital attracted  international recognition in December 2013  when it received two distinguished quality service awards from the European Business Assembly in Oxford, UK.

The European Business Awards is an independent awards programme designed to recognise and promote excellence, best practices and innovation in the European business community and beyond.

Presenting the award,  the Chief Executive Officer of The New Ghanaian, Dr Dee Otibu-Asare,  was of the view that private health institutions could emulate The Trust Hospital by prioritising the health needs and aspirations of the ordinary Ghanaian. He said the government alone could not address all health care challenges confronting the nation.

He, therefore, challenged  health care professionals to support the government in that endeavour.

The Chief Executive for the Asuogyaman District, Mr Thomas Ampim Nyarko, who deputised for the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, commended the organisers of the award scheme, noting that two key areas of the awards in the fields of health and education depicted the primary necessity of the people.
