Organization solicits funds for ailing woman

The JaneSarf Development Organization is appealing to the public to donate towards the treatment of Philipa Owusua, a 25-year-old woman who is in a severe condition after being diagnosed with Congestive Cardiac Failure and kidney disease.

The NGO in a statement said GHS6,600 was needed to get Ms Owusua the required treatment.

"We humbly seek for your kind support. Any amount possible to give her a more comfortable life even though it is not curable but a lot of management needs to be done which requires financial support. Estimated amount of GHC 6,600.00 is required that will go a long way in getting the needed treatment . Your GHC1 or any amount will go a long way to save Philipa Owusua," the statement said.

A notice by the Renal Dialysis Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital indicates that Ms Owusuaa has been on admission at the hospital and is being managed for End-Stage Kidney Disease, Dialysis Catheter Sepsis and Pyelonephritis.

The notice signed by Dr Ayanore Augustine Adoliba of the Renal Unit of the hospital said the patient has severe financial constraints and has not been able to buy most of her medication and pay for other necessary interventions such as a permanent Neckline.
