The patients were referred from the special health screening exercise organised by the bank for the people in their catchment area as part of activities marking the 25th anniversary celebration of the bank,

The health screening was also aimed at improving upon the health condition of the people in the area as part of their social responsibility to them.

The surgery, led by Dr Dorian Lartey, was expected to improve upon their eyesight.

According to an official of the bank, the bank was not only interested in banking and profit but  also concerned with quality health care, education and service, among others, to improve upon the conditions of the people within their catchment area.

The bank has already organised health walk for its staff and clients to improve upon their health, as well as donate to  some needy homes in the region.

Among the needy homes is  the Kumasi Children’s Home
