Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital launches new website
The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) has launched a reactivated newsletter, website and social media channels to facilitate the easy communication between the hospital administration and the general public.
The Chief Executive Officer of KATH Dr Oheneba Owusu-Danso said the reactivation of the hospital website and the introduction of its new social media platform were meant to replace their traditional face to face interaction.

He said the hospital has set up five information desks to give the opportunity to client, patients and stakeholders to make complaints, enquiries and suggestions.
Dr Oheneba said the use of the social media platform and website will help give adequate information of the hospital, publish schedules of doctors and meeting dates with patients.
"The reactivation of the hospital newsletter and website will provide plethora of opportunities for real-time engagement and information flow between thee hospital and its stakeholders," he said.
The hospital's website went down after it was hacked into while newsletter which used to be published regularly went out of print for years.
"No institutional growth can be sustained without enchanced, effective and efficient internal and external communications on its operations hence the need of reactivating the website and newsletter," Dr Owusu-Danso said.
He hinted that management was working to develop an App to further engage the public and would-be clients on clinical services to facilitate more reliable appointment systems.
Editorial
The chairman of the editorial board and an honorary senior specialist in the directorate of internal medicine, Dr Collins Kokoro, said everything concerning the website and social media platform were internally sourced.
He assured of strict and standardised editorial policy for effective communication.
