Bono East Region: Mahama inaugurates Lordina Foundation Maternity and Children's Ward
Former President John Mahama has inaugurated the Lordina Foundation Maternity and Children's Ward at the Nkoranza Health Centre in the Bono East Region.

The facility, built by the foundation of his wife, Lordina Mahama, is equipped with modern medical equipment and furniture, including incubators, ultrasound machines, and surgical beds.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Mahama praised his wife for her commitment to the welfare of women and children.
He noted that the Lordina Foundation has been dedicated to supporting maternal and child healthcare, education, and women's empowerment for over two decades.
The former President highlighted the importance of access to quality healthcare, particularly for mothers and children. He announced that the next NDC government would introduce free primary healthcare and a Ghana Medical Care Trust to cater to chronic diseases.
Mr. Mahama also emphasized the need for collaboration between government, healthcare professionals, and the community to ensure the facility's success. He thanked donors, benefactors, and individuals who contributed to the project's execution.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by traditional leaders, medical staff, and residents of Nkoranza. The facility is expected to provide comprehensive maternal and neonatal care to the people of Nkoranza and surrounding communities.
