During the International Youth Day Celebration at the National Mosque in Kanda, Accra, Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, a driving force behind the program, announced not only its immediate objectives but also an expansive vision for the future.

Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu stated, "Our unwavering commitment to providing top-notch healthcare to every child remains steadfast. In the near future, we aim to extend this initiative to schools within the Ayawaso North and East Municipalities, ensuring an even greater number of young lives benefit from this critical healthcare support."

Giving a heartfelt endorsement of the initiative, the local Assembly member, Hon Mohammed Awal, also known as Mr. Ibu, expressed his admiration, saying, "This initiative showcases the positive change that collaboration can achieve. We, as representatives of this community, wholeheartedly endorse '1 Child, 1 NHIS Card' and anticipate witnessing the improved health and well-being of our children."

Mr. Awal urged other business leaders to follow the example set by Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu and replicate this generous gesture, highlighting the transformative impact such initiatives can have on communities.

To fortify this ambitious endeavour, the initiative has established crucial partnerships with esteemed organizations. The Yaa Salaam Opportunity Center, Corporate Health Care Ghana, Oxygen Health, and the National Health Insurance Authority have all extended their support, underscoring their shared dedication to the cause.

The '1 Child, 1 NHIS Card' initiative transcends the simple provision of NHIS cards to children. It also seeks to heighten awareness about the significance of health insurance and regular check-ups among the youth, empowering them to assume responsibility for their well-being.

As this groundbreaking initiative prepares to broaden its scope to local schools, it exemplifies the ethos of collective responsibility, community empowerment, and enhanced healthcare access for the next generation.

A brighter future looms on the horizon for the children of Ruga, setting a compelling example for communities across the Ayawaso North and East Municipalities.
