WACAA awards come off Saturda

The second edition of the West African Clinical Alliance Awards (WACAA) comes off on Saturday, August 25, at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.

WACAA rewards outstanding individuals and institutions who have exhibited brilliance in their endeavours in the health sector.

This year’s event is on the theme: “The role of modern information technology in health promotion.”

On the occasion, practitioners in both the private and public health institutions, as well as those in herbal and traditional health centres will be awarded.

According to the organisers of the WACCA, Gehab Events, even though the health centres faced several challenges, there were individuals and institutions that were doing their best and were providing excellent healthcare services.

It said the event, therefore, was to encourage them to improve on their performances and motivate others to also work hard.

Health institutions which were rewarded last year were the EndPoint Homeopathic Clinic, Greater Accra Regional Hospital, Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Holy Trinity Hospital, Lister Hospital and Fertility Centre and Capital O2 Natural Health Company Limited.
