The donation was received by Mr Joseph Eric Karaah, NADMO Coordinator for Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly (NAMA).

He thanked Voltic for supporting residents in the municipality in their time of need, stating that Voltic was the first corporate organisation to volunteer assistance since the water crisis.

Beneficiaries

NADMO has earmarked 403 households, with 2,615 people, to receive the water through the Unit Committee members who are directly in touch with the communities.

Ms Adjoba Kyiamah, the Corporate and Legal Affairs Director of Voltic, in a brief remark, said the company was keen on helping to create a thriving world as part of its sustainable development goals.

“We are concerned about the acute water shortage interrupting the daily activities of the community, especially those by children,” she said and explained that the donation was a demonstration of Voltic’s commitment to giving back life to the community.

Water shortage

The Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipality has been facing an acute water shortage for the past three weeks.

The situation has compelled residents to fetch raw and untreated water from the Densu River for their household use.

Voltic, a business operator in the municipality, donated the water to support the efforts by NADMO to provide relief to the residents.
