Unicom Chemist Limited was established in August 1995 with a mission to provide quality health solution at an affordable price to enhance the quality of life of Ghanaians.

The corporate head office, the nerve centre of its operations, is located at House No.214, Winneba Road, about 400m before the N1 Highway on the Odorkor-Mallam road.
The building, which is the property of Unicom Chemist Ltd, is made up of three blocks that provide office space, shops and warehouse space of approximately 900sqm for storing its products.
A dedicated refrigeration facility exists for the storage of cold-chain products. All its distribution facilities are well equipped and operated in accordance with the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) standards of good distribution practices.
Unicom is noted for quality and distributes for reputable multinational pharmaceutical companies, including Elli Lilly, Intas, Wuhan of China, SCA Sweden (Tena Range) and until recently GSK, just to mention a few. In sourcing pharmaceutical products from around the world, they insist on the highest quality and effective medicines that guarantee good health and safety of its cherished consumers.

Retail pharmacies
Unicom Chemist has four retail outlets in Accra and these retail pharmacies are renowned for their excellent customer service to the patients in their catchment area and beyond. Unicom Chemist ensures that qualified pharmacists are always at post at the retail outlets to ensure that appropriate medication and counsel are provided to every patient who patronises the pharmacy.
Future plans
In a few years into the future, the company intends to extend its reach around the country to ensure that the Unicom Chemist brand is accessible to millions of our people. Currently, we operate a central distribution warehouse, with seven wholesale outlets and five retail shops at various locations in the country.
