UEW hosts conference for Communication Educators Association

The Winneba Campus of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), will from today, June 27 to June 28, this year host the official launching and maiden national conference of the Communication Educators Association of Ghana (CEAG).

The two day conference which would bring together academics, researchers and policy makers to discuss and share best practices in teaching, learning, curriculum and assessment issues in communication education in Ghana and abroad will be held on the theme: “Communication education in a disruptive era: curriculum development and pedagogical issues”.

Key speakers to address the conference are Professor Kehbuma Langmia, Professor of Communications, Howard University, USA, Ms Esther Cobbah, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O) of Stratcomm Africa and Ambassador Kabral Blay-Amihere, Former Chairman of the National Media Commission (NMC).

Dr Mavis Amo-Mensah, a member of the interim management team of CEAG, told graphic online that all is set for the conference and that the UEW was ready to host the participants from across the country.

She noted that the conference would be very insightful as it would put together communication experts who would be provided with a unique platform to share their perspectives and experiences particularly in the field of communication.

She said that CEAG had come to ensure that the communication fraternity in Ghana gets a professional backbone that would symbolize its unique academic and professional focus.

CEAG is a professional body that would bring together communication educators in all public and private tertiary institutions as well as professionals in related communication agencies in Ghana.
