Truck smashes Range Rover and injures 2 after brake failure in Kumasi

Two people sustained injuries on Tuesday night in Kumasi when the Black Range Rover vehicle they were travelling with was involcrashed by a Tema Harbour-bound articulated truck loaded with sheanuts.

The brakes of the truck reportedly failed as it was climbing the hill in front of the Oforikrom Police Station and reversed.
The two men, a businessman and his friend were driving home around 9:55 pm at the time of the accident.
They were subsequently taken to hospital for medical care.
The articulated truck has since been impounded and parked at the edge of the road in front of the Oforikrom Police station.
Apart from destroying the Range Rover, it also smashed the front door of a Toyota Corolla vehicle.
