Very often, therefore, for such an organisation at whose meetings the secular and the spiritual mingle, the headache of planning committees for the fellowship’s annual and biennial national and international conventions is often the choice of who qualifies to mount the podium to make presentations on relevant topics with such cutting edge effectiveness that participants do not leave worse off in knowledge and anointing than they came.

Although over 98 per cent of FGBMFI members are not ordained – being a laymen’s organisation - such is the quality of teaching, preaching and impartation of spiritual gifts, that its platforms are not for pretenders and the half-baked.

This consideration has informed the choice of speakers at the fellowship’s 2019 biennial National Convention slated for the International Conference Centre, Accra, from this Thursday, August 22, through to Saturday, August 24, 2019. One of the Speakers, Mario Garcia Olvera, an engineer by profession, is the International President of the fellowship. He is gifted also as a spiritual motivator.

Another is Dr Paul Enenche, a Nigerian medical doctor who put aside his medical certificate in 1996 and went into full time ministry.

His Dunamis International Gospel Centre is so populous that its Glory Dome chapel has a seating capacity for 75,000 people, holding six services every Sunday.

Enenche's ministry is also involved in providing social amenities including roads, electricity, water supply and health facilities in several parts of Nigeria.

A third speaker is Prophet Tuo Namogo Adama from La Cote d’Ivoire. In the secular world, he is a financial expert with the West African Economic and

Monetary Union and a national consultant to the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation in charge of coordinating UNIDO activities. In demonstrating the gifts of God’s Holy Spirit, his ministry is said to have a “cutting edge”.

Coming from South Africa is Dr Graham Power, founder and Chairman of the Power Group, one of Africa’s leading construction firms. He will be on hand to launch the Ghana version of ‘Unashamedly Ethical’, a global movement guided by a founding vision to transform society by taking a stand for ethics, values and clean living.

Speakers from Ghana include, Mr Emmanuel Baba Mahama, a chartered accountant and former President of the Institute of Insurers, Dr Charles Buckman, a UK-based motivational speaker, Prophet Delali Mensah and Prophet Emmanuel Adjei.

The three-day convention, themed, "You are my Witnesses," has been described as a “mini world business convention.” It will be one of a kind welcoming a 25-member contingent from Latin America, all national presidents from Africa as well as participants and observers from North and South America and Europe.

Commenting on the theme, National President of FGBMFI Ghana, Mr George Prah, said “the object of the convention is to inspire in our members and all participants the power of the Holy Spirit at work in the life of all christians, which power places a demand on all believers to be "living witnesses of Christ Jesus" to the world.
