The theft came to light after an audit had been conducted into Mr Angaandi’s operations.

The sequence withdrawal from the company’s account took place over a period of time from the Cape Coast branch where Mr Angaandi was before being transferred to Wa.

According to a police source, the Wa Branch Manager of the SG SSB Bank Limited, Mr George Amanor, reported the matter to the police last week, following which Angaandi was arrested.

It said Angaandi had since been released on bail pending further investigations into the case.

Meanwhile, the Daily Graphic has gathered that Angaandi has been interdicted, while he has been asked to refund the money.
