The land was donated by the Asokoremanhene, Nana Prof. Susubiribi Krobea Asante, to support the government’s industrialisation initiative.

At a ceremony on the outskirts of Asokore, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sekyere East, Madam Mary Boatemaa Marfo, told the Asokoremanhene that works on the land to prepare for the commencement of the factory would soon begin and expressed appreciation to the paramount chief for the kind gesture.

She hinted that though the assembly planned to embark on four different projects, it intends to use the available land for animal husbandry.

She said the assembly was also considering the establishment of gari processing, rice production and palm oil factories.

The DCE explained that the animal husbandry factory would be a Public Private Partnership (PPP) – between Ghanaians and Chinese.

She further called on the chiefs to continue to lend their support for the implementation of the one-district, one-factory project in the district for the benefit of all.
