The Electricity Company of Ghana has announced a series of planned maintenance exercises across the Ashanti, Central, and Accra West regions for Tuesday, July 7, as part of ongoing efforts to improve service delivery, while engineers in the Tema Region work to resolve network faults.

In the Ashanti Region, multiple outages are scheduled across several areas, with most interruptions running from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm or 4:00 pm. Affected communities include Kumawu, Oyoko, Banko, Akrofonso, Asamang, Atwea, Paah, Pakyi No.1 and 2, Anwiankwanta, and surrounding areas. Others include Kentinkrono, Tech Police Station, Ayigya Cemetery, Royal Foams, Okess School, Bremang UGC, Atimatim, Pankrono Zongo, Konongo Low Cost, Juansa, Hwediem, Agogo, Nwamase, Apire, Ampatia, Darko, Trede, Ampabame, Mpatasie, Bekwame, Semanhyiakrom, Sabin Akrofrom, Kyekyewere, Nkawie, Bebu, Mpasatia, Toase, Onwe, Asienimpong, Kwaso, Yam Market, Dote Nima, and parts of Buokrom Junction.

In the Central Region, power will be interrupted from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Tuesday, affecting Kpomotey, Adam Nana, Ashalaja, Domeabra, Kwame Anum, Hobor, VRA, Nurses Quarters, Denchira, Tomefa, Police Farm, and surrounding areas.

In the Accra West Region, planned maintenance will run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, affecting Mayera, Dunyo, Manchie, Satellite, Korleman, ATU, Nsufa, NIC, Anyaa Deeper Life, Anyaa Market, Upper Weija, Old Weija, Oblogo, Topbase, and surrounding areas.

Emergency maintenance is also scheduled for Monday, July 6, in the Accra West Region from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, affecting ABC, Down, Saint John, SHS, Pentecost University, Israel Park, Israel Filling Station, Ayigbe Junction, Shiabu, Beach Road, Asofan, White House, Poultry Farm, Amelia, Ayawaso Hills, and surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, customers in the Tema Region continue to experience unplanned outages due to faults in the network. Affected areas include Baatsonaa, Hisense, K Ofori Apartment, Police Station, and surrounding areas. ECG has assured affected customers that engineers have been deployed to rectify the faults and restore supply as quickly as possible.

The company has apologised to customers for the inconvenience and urged those in affected areas to make alternative arrangements and remain patient as the scheduled works are carried out.
