Arabman, as he is popularly referred to, is said to be the supplier of weapons to members of the gang he leads.

He was arrested with another person, Saddique Osman, 30, and the two are currently in custody assisting in police investigations.

Last Saturday, the police arrested Kamaru Ibrahim, alias Anokwaletse, one of the robbers involved in both criminal operations in Accra and Tema.

The suspect is said to have mentioned Arabman as an accomplice in both the operation at Royal Motors Limited in Accra and the killing of the Lebanese cashier on February 27 and 28, 2018, respectively.

The Accra Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Mr George Alex Mensah, told the Daily Graphic yesterday that the police were on the heels of other members of the gang.

He appealed to members of the public to continue providing the police with relevant information to deal with the criminals.

IGP

Last Saturday, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr David Asante-Apeatu, had told the Daily Graphic about the arrest of two individuals connected with the Royal Motors Limited robbery, the killing of the Lebanese cashier in Tema and the Kwabenya cell break.

While Kamaru Ibrahim, alias Anokwaletse, was arrested in respect of both the Royal Motors robbery and the killing of the Lebanese cashier, Emmanuel Kotey was arrested for escaping in the Kwabenya cell break.

The IGP had indicated that 11 suspects were arrested from March 5 to 10, 2018.

He further indicated that the police were on the heels of many other suspects whose identities were being kept.

He said the arrest of Kotey, whose picture the police did not have at the time of his escape, should send a signal to the rest of the criminals that the police were on their heels.
