Police, ‘FixTheCountry’ conveners meet after protest

The acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare, yesterday met with some conveners of the “FixTheCountry” demonstration at the Police Headquarters in Accra.

The post-demonstration interaction between the police and the conveners of the demonstration served as a platform to review the general conduct of Wednesday’s event, including lessons learnt.

Mr Kumi Danso, who led the convenors, and other members of the group took turns to thank the Police Service and the acting IGP for the show of discipline, high level of professionalism and respect for human rights by policemen during the demonstration.
