Police arrest 3 over alleged murder of 34-year-old mobile money vendor at a guest house in Kasoa

The police have arrested three suspects in connection with the alleged murder of a 34-year-old mobile money vendor, Christian Amponsah, at a guest house at Kasoa in the Central Region.

The suspects are Felicia Osei Appiah, 59, Clement Opoku Yeboah, 24, and a female juvenile.

A statement issued by the Central East Regional Police Command on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, said the arrests followed a complaint by the guest house manager on Tuesday, October 27.

The manager reported to the police that Christian Amponsah and the juvenile had booked a room for two hours but failed to leave after the two hours.

The manager told the police that when he went to check on the occupants, he found Amponsah lying motionless in a pool of blood.

The police said when officers visited the scene they found the deceased lying face down, covered with bedsheets, curtains and pillows.

The body was subsequently conveyed to the Police Hospital mortuary in Accra for preservation, identification and autopsy.

The three suspects are in police custody and are assisting with investigations in relation to the circumstances surrounding the death.
