The two suspects are currently in Police custody assisting in investigations. The third, who is suspected to be the ring leader however managed to escape arrest.

A statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service, DSP Cephas Arhur said when a search was conducted in the room of the escapee, known only as Boadi, a Samsung galaxy tab which was stolen by the robbers was found.

The police also retrieved a desktop computer. Both exhibits are being retained for investigation.

The statement said one of the lap-top computers which were stolen by the robbers had a tracking device, which helped Police to trace the stolen items to an uncompleted building at New Bortiano, where the items were subsequently retrieved.

Meanwhile the victims, who were sent to Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital have been treated and discharged.

The Police Administration is, therefore, appealing to the general public to assist the Police with information that could lead to the arrest of the other suspects.
