The items include 55 half piece of cloth, bags of rice, cooking oil, canned, tomatoes, sugar, detergents, toilet rolls and mosquito repellents.

Presenting the items, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of Creative Impulse, Ms Efia Kyeremaa said the gesture was founded on the word of God and in fulfilment of scripture.

Quoting Proverbs 19:17 which states that "Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord and he will reward them for what they have done,” Ms Kyeremaa said the presentation was also in response to a plea by the Minister in Charge of Drobo Harvesters Assemblies of God Church, Rev Isaac Kwesi Nyame for support to the beneficiaries.

According to her, the Minister, in his appeal referenced chronic poverty which had engulfed the widows and their dependents over the years.

She mentioned that her outfit since its inception had undertaken a number of interventions under the Smile of Hope project to stay responsive to vulnerable groups and their families, and reiterated her commitment to supporting the needy in society.

Smile of Hope

The project seeks to identify vulnerable groups in society and inspire them through guidance and counselling as well as giving them financial support.

In 2019, the project feted 100 street children in Accra and presented them with a pack of personal hygiene items each.

In his remarks, Rev Isaac Kwesi Nyame expressed appreciation to Ms Kyeremaa and her team for the gesture.

Rev Nyame said he was of the hope that the items would go a long way in helping the beneficiaries. He called for further support and urged other organizations to emulate the gesture by Creative Impulse.
