Petrosol educates consumers on safe use of LPG
Petrosol, an indigenous oil marketing company (OMC), has educated consumers on the safe use of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and the safe handling of gas cylinders.

Committed to safety and industry best practices in the oil and gas industry, the sensitisation was part of the company’s contribution to prevent fire accidents and other hazards associated with the use of the product.
The education was conducted as part of a Consumer Week event organised by the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) in Tamale.
Petrosol mounted a stand with a team of well trained professionals who educated consumers on safety issues.
The company also distributed over 500 safety tips materials and presented about 100 T-shirts to those who demonstrated their understanding of the safety tips provided.
Additionally, Petrosol donated 16 gas cylinders to some institutions within the Tamale Metropolis.
According to the Marketing and Supply Chain Manager of Petrosol, Mr Kwasi Zigah, one of the key pillars of the company was safety, saying the company would continue to invest in safety in spite of other competing demands.
He said Petrosol consistently conducted safety checks at its various stations and constantly had a programme in place to rectify any identify shortcomings.
“When Petrosol talks about value for money, it is holistic. It is about cheerfully delivering accurate quantities of quality petroleum products at all times and in a convenient and safe service environment and at competitive prices.”
He said the company would continue to invest in training their frontline staff to improve on service qualitied; intensify product quality control monitoring and enhance service stations infrastructure, among others.
Petrosol currently operates 40 fuel stations in eight out of the ten regions of Ghana.
