A portion of the Aboso-Damang road in the Western Region has caved in, creating an immediate safety hazard.
This follows underground erosion, as recent heavy rain washed away the soil beneath the asphalt.
Illegal mining activities near the road are said to have contributed to soil erosion beneath the asphalt and on the roadside.
This road was constructed by Goldfields Damang a few years ago.
