Parah Foundation hands over water project to Gomoa Oguaa
Rev. Remi Gharbin, Shepherd of the Remi Gharbin Ministries, has enjoined religious groups and other institutions focused on saving souls and providing succour for the under-privileged, to join forces in providing society’s basic needs.
She says water and other basic needs of members of the society who can ill-afford them, can better be provided if various churches and institutions come together to support government in its development efforts.

Rev. Remi Gharbin was speaking at a brief ceremony to hand over a water project undertaken by the Parah Foundation, the missions wing of the Remi Gharbin Ministries, to the people of Gomoa Oguaa in the Central Region.
The facility, a submersible borehole to augment potable water supply for the people, cost GH¢14.300, and comes with a 3,000 litre overhead tank for water storage. It was constructed in a record three weeks, with funding coming from members of the virtual church both home and abroad.
She described the gift of water as a practical rendition of Jesus’ proverbial quip to his followers to seek his welfare by catering for the needs of members of society.
“Parah Foundation is into providing safe and potable water for communities who are underprivileged or are not able to provide water for themselves…. So it is the mission’s arm of the Remi Gharbin Ministries where we provide water for communities that actually need it. By the grace of God we had a friend who located this community for us. The community really needed good drinking water and so we came in and stretched forth a helping hand to them. Just like the Bible says unto us in the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus said, I will ask you on that day: When I was in prison did you visit me? When I was sick did you care for me? When I was hungry did you feed me? When I was thirsty, did you give me water? And so we came into this community to provide water, which we believe is God’s heartbeat for His creation. Good drinking water. Water is life,” she emphasized.
Rev. Remi Gharbin said while everybody looks up to government to undertake development, society must come together to support those efforts, thereby expediting the actions needed to eradicate basic and common problems, adding that “we are the very government we expect to do everything for us. Let us help by coming together so we can provide water and other needs.”
Mr. Ibrahim Alhassan, the contractor and the man said to have nominated the community for the support, commended the Parah Foundation for their quick response to the call to help and said the amazing gift of life will serve the community so well and for a long time if they take good care of it.
He urged the people of Gomoa Oguaa to preserve the facility well by adopting good maintenance practices, saying the borehole has a lifeless source of water and maintaining it means the community will not lack water for a long time to come.
A representative of the chief, Abusuapanyi Kwasi Nyame expressed gratitude to the benefactors and prayed God’s blessings on them. He expressed hope that the Foundation would continue with the good works and reach out to other needy communities.
