Over 45 Agenda 111 hospitals set for commissioning by the end of year - Miracles Aboagye

The spokesperson for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia's campaign, the presidential candidate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has disclosed that between 45 and 47 hospitals under the government’s Agenda 111 projects are set for commissioning by the end of this year.

In an interview with Joy News’s AM Show Monday, November 4, he stated that "Between 45 and 47 of them will be commissioned before the end of the year. They will be commissioned and put to use."

He noted that majority of the hospitals were near completion, with final equipment installations underway, stressing that approximately five of these facilities are located in the Ashanti Region.

Mr Aboagye added that should Dr Bawumia win the upcoming December 7 election; he is fully committed to completing the remaining Agenda 111 projects.

He emphasised Dr Bawumia's dedication to the initiative, urging all political leaders to pledge similar support, stating, "If we don't get each of the 12 people contesting in this election to commit towards completing Agenda 111, we could have a government if not Dr Bawumia, come in and leave the projects handing".

Agenda 111

Known officially as Ghana’s Priority Health Infrastructure Projects, the Agenda 111 initiative aims to bolster healthcare services nationwide.

It includes the construction of seven regional hospitals, two regional psychiatric hospitals serving the northern and middle zones, and a new national psychiatric hospital in Accra.
