Nine reported dead in accident near Nsawam

Nine persons; a male and eight females, are feared dead in an accident at Teacher Mante, near Nsawam on the Accra-Kumasi highway.

Five of the passengers are reported to have died on the spot.

The accident which occurred Thursday afternoon, involved a VIP bus and an articulator truck.

Officials of the National Disaster Management Organization, (NADMO) from Ayensuano district, Police and the Fire Service are currently at the scene helping with rescue efforts.
