Known as the Naomi’s Divine Grace Foundation (NDGF), it has already registered some orphans and retired pastors on the National Health Insurance Scheme and is taking care of 10 orphans.

Speaking at the launch, the founder of NDGF, Rev. Mrs Naomi Owusu Appiah, called on christian organisations, as well as public spirited organisations to show compassion to the poor in the society.

She decried treatments being meted out to some widows, orphans, as well as retired pastors, especially those in rural communities.

''This NGO is committed to doing its best to help children at the orphanages get access to good and quality education and will also strive to better the lot of widows and retired ministers of the Gospel who are struggling to make ends meet'', Rev. Appiah said.

Rev. Appiah called for a conscious effort on the part of the Church,as well as  individual organisations to help root out endemic poverty that was afflicting people who had served their generation well.

A Lecturer at the Kumasi Polytechnic, Mr Kusi Boafo, admonished the youth to live responsible lives so as to chart a good path for a better future.

He said one's future lifestyle was largely determined by the kind of life and preparation one did when one was young.

The NGO later presented some items including scholarships and cash to some widows, orphans and retired pastors.
