Presenting the items, Ms Appiah said the gesture was in fulfillment of a Biblical scripture recorded in Mathew 25:42 that admonishes all believers, particularly Christians to do good to one another especially to the needy ones.

She said although the items would not solve all the challenges the people in the community, it would bring some relief to them.

Ms Appiah said the school bags, for instance, would help the school children to properly keep their books.

She said often times children who carry their books in their hands to school had their books torn apart due to the improper way the books are handled.

According to her, the donation also formed part of her personal conviction that giving back to one’s own community was the best way to teach the younger generation of the essence of charity and also to put smiles on their faces.

Ms Appiah said school children in the Osino Dwenase community lacked basic educational materials to help them in their studies, and added that even though education was a right for all, especially children, quality education must not elude children from deprived communities.

The chief of Akyem-Dwenasehene, Barimah Gyekye-Sei II, who received the items on behalf of the community thanked Ms Appiah for the kind gesture and said the items would go a long way to bring relief to the people, particularly the students.

He entreated other indigenes of the community to emulate the example of Ms Appiah, adding that lack of books and basic educational materials were some of the things the community desperately needed to provide quality education for the children.

The Director of Multi Video Star and Staple Plus Productions, Mr Samuel Obeng Ansah, who partnered Ms Appiah to present the items said Multi Video Star and Staple Plus Productions would continue to collaborate and partner projects that alleviate people from poverty.
