National Security picks up ‘vile man of God’ who threatened to kill EC boss [VIDEO]

Officers from the National Security on Tuesday morning picked up a self-styled preacher, Kwabena Owusu Adjei who has been seen in a video on social media threatening mayhem on the chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs Jean Mensa and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Owusu Adjei of the Hezekiah Prayer Ministry had threatened in the video that the chairperson of the EC would die if she goes ahead with the planned new voters' register.

He also castigated President Akufo-Addo aside other verbal attacks on members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the video which has been doing rounds on social media.

Plain clothed security men arrested him Tuesday morning in the midst of a live radio interview at a location in Accra.

What he said in the earlier video

In the earlier video, Owusu Adjei said “…. today as I hear the word blood flows, it is the blood of the Akyem Mafia that will flow”, alluding to the June 4 Revolution and the subsequent killing of high ranking military officers in the 1979 June 4 Uprising.

He also referred to the overthrow of President Edward Akufo-Addo and Prime Minister Kofi Abrefa Busia's government in 1970 and suggested a similar fate for President Akufo-Addo. President Edward Akufo-Addo is President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's father.

“There are some people when you give them the power they cannot hold on to it and he is just like his father,” he said.

“There is no way he can hold on to this power. God is my witness, hallelujah” Kwabena Owusu Adjei said to which an audience, of at least four, responded ‘amen’.
