Morning Star School Board agrees to meet PTA over fees brouhaha

The Management of the Morning Star School has agreed to meet with executives of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) on Thursday, August 13 to discuss the issue of the payment of "third term fees".

Parents of pupils of the School on Monday converged on the school, and demanded an immediate negotiation of fees for “online tuition services”, following demands for payment of "third term fees" by the school.

Monday, August 10, 2020, was the deadline for the payment of the fees, which the school had provided a discount of GH¢125.00. End of term examinations had also been scheduled from August 17-21.

But the aggrieved parents said the fees were inconsiderate and demanded to meet school authorities for negotiations.

In a short Whatsapp message Wednesday, the parents representatives on the PTA indicated the Board's readiness to meet with them and assured parents that “the necessary feedback and take-aways that would be reached at the meeting would be shared with all parents”.
