The Melcom Group of Companies has launched its online shop to expand its selling points to its customers from all Melcom branches in the country.

The virtual market place also enhances the conveniences of customers of the company from any location.

The online market place allows customers to shop and pay with mastercard, visa, mobile money or cash on delivery depending on the customer’s choice of payment.

It also allows customers to receive items at the nearest Melcom Shop or on delivery at affordable prices.

To patronise Melcomonline, one would have to register on www.melcomonline.com and select a displayed item from the catalogue with the help of the search feature bar.

One would then select a payment preference and if one’s preferred payment was cash, then the item would be delivered at his or her location before payment.

Launch

The Group Chairman of Melcom, Mr Bhagwan Khubchandani who formally launched Melcomonline, said the virtual market could be accessed from July 1, 2017.

Safety

Speaking at the launch at the new Melcom branch at Achimota in Accra yesterday, the Director of Communications of Melcom Group, Mr Godwin Avenorgbo assured customers that Melcom had teamed up with Skynet Express to ensure safe and secured deliveries.

“As soon as payment is received, Melcom quickly dispatches merchandise to a preferred location for pick-up by the customer. In connection with delivery at the customer’s preferred location, we are pleased to associate with Skynet Express, a company with many years of experience in safe, secure and fast delivery,” he said.

According to him, due to the slow process of land and landed property acquisition to meet the size of land Melcom required for business, it had become imperative that while efforts were being made to develop physical structures, the company had to achieve its vision, hence Melcomonline.

“We found a tried and tested way of achieving our vision as the brand committed to delivering everything, everywhere, everytime for every consumer in the most economical manner, hence Melcomonline- the virtual market place.”

“Melcom is offering free delivery of merchandise for any destination within Greater Accra throughout Ghana’s Republic Anniversary month of July 2017,” he added.
