Reading

Dr Sowah, who was speaking at the launch of a book: “Rules of Engagement: Men are, Wives become”, in Accra, noted that reading was a key characteristic of billionaires.

The book was written by Ato Kwamina Yawson, an author, counsellor, and marriage coach whose first publication was titled: “Rules of Engagement: You can’t love him before marriage”.

Dr Sowah submitted that the book was good for all, as it was a good material to read in order to have a less stressful marriage.

“Marriage can be stressful if not engaged in according to the laid down rules of God.

Marriages should be blissful and not stressful,” he added.

Mr Yawson said the material had been divinely inspired and written in the interest of men to serve and lead them in their relationships and also in the interest of women.

He said finding a woman and going through the wedding processes were not the key things in a relationship, but keeping a wife happy and by one’s side forever.

He said, for instance, that the performance of some household chores by husbands, such as the pounding of fufu, was seen to be belittling and, therefore, frowned upon.

Mr Kojo Ofori Jnr of the Standard Chartered Bank, while auctioning the books, encouraged Ghanaians to support writers.

The first copy of the book was sold for GH¢600 and the second for GH¢520.
