Manhyia Hospital: NSS Director renders unqualified apology for verbal assault on nurse
Alex Poku Mensah, popularly called Omens, who is the Ashanti Regional Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS) has apologised for his verbal attack on a nurse at the Manhyia District Hospital in Kumasi last Sunday.
Poku Mensah was captured on audio in verbal exchanges with a nurse at the Manhyia District Hospital in Kumasi last Sunday.

That verbal exchange resulted in some insults rained on the said nurse.
He was at the Manhyia District Hospital to intervene in what he claims was an intimidation of his daughter, who is a doctor on housemanship at the hospital.
Poku Mensah in an unqualified apology issued Tuesday (November 29, 2022), stated that he "understands the disappointment, and appreciates the inconvenience his action has caused the general public, as well as the nursing fraternity and the Manhyia Hospital."
"This has never been my style but for a genuine reason to mediate in a persistent issue between my daughter, who is a doctor and a colleague nurse, who, I, as well consider as my daughter, "he stated.
"I do apologise for my mishap and assure all, that there will not be a repetition of such.
"I look forward to maintaining a cordial relationship with any affected person," he stated in the apology.
