It appears most people in Accra or who usually frequent the capital have adhered to President Akufo-Addo's directive to endeavour to stay home during the two-week lockdown to fight the coronavirus disease.

The President ordered the lockdown on Friday, March 27, 2020 as part of measures to curtail the spread of coronavirus in the country.

A visit to the business centre, Accra Central saw only food vendors, foodstuff traders, and commercial drivers mostly in town with a few citizens doing their last-minute shopping.

There was no trader at Tip Toe lane as well as the Togo market. The Rawlings Park, through to ECG, Ghana Library Board were all deserted and ghostly.

At CMB, a few traders were seen busily selling their foodstuff while the once busy TUC area was empty.

The usual traffic in town was also gone.

Ghana has so far recorded 152 confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease, with five deaths.
