Others include the establishment of well-planned animal husbandry and poultry projects.

The District Chief Executive for Sekyere Kumawu, Mr Samuel Addae Agyekum, who disclosed this to the Daily Graphic, eulogized the Paramount Chief of Kumawu for the gesture which he said would go a long way to support the development of the area.

He said with the availability of land, the assembly was going to look for investors locally and abroad.

Collaboration

The DCE said the assembly was liaising with Kumawu Development and Investment Trust, a local NGO, to make judicious use of the land to ensure that various investors have access to the land to undertake their operations.

This he said, would not only create jobs for the local people but increase economic activities in the area and the nation as a whole.

He announced that the assembly has registered 30 poultry farmers who have expressed interest in moving to the area to operate due to the availability of land.

Mr Agyekum explained that the registration of the poultry farmers follow the signing of a memorandum of understanding with a Chinese firm which was ready to establish a hatchery in the area to serve poultry farmers.
