The Apagya stool was created during the reign of Asantehene Osei Kwadwo who reigned from 1777 to 1797.
It is one of the biggest stools in the Asante KIngdom and is occupied by sons of Asantehene.
The late Oheneba Kyeretwie was the son of the late Otumfuo Sir Osei Agyeman Prempeh II.
He was enstooled Apagyahene at the tender age of 12 and was given quality education thereafter.
Oheneba Kyeretwie was sent to England where he had his college and university education.
He studied anthropology at the university.
Friendly and accessible to everyone, the late Oheneba Kyeretwie was loved by many especially whose who went to the Manhyia Palace for one business or the other.
