Kpone Katamanso Municipal Assembly to sustain disinfection exercise

The Kpone Katamanso Municipal Assembly has indicated that it would sustain the disinfection of public places in the municipality to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The Municipal Chief Executive for the area, Mr Solomon T. Appiah gave the assurance when he took delivery of 200 gallons of disinfectants (bactericide) donated by Sunon Asogli Power to support the initiative of the assembly to protect the people from coming into contact with micro organisms.

The company also handed out 200 gallons of disinfectants to the Kpone Traditional Council for similar exercise.

Mr Appiah expressed appreciation to the management of Sunon Asogli Power for supporting intervetions put in place to protect the residents of Kpone and gave the assurance that the public education programmes would be sustained to sensitise residents on the need to adhere to educational messages.

Right Attitude

He was optimistic that with the right attitude and adherance to the necessary protocols rolled out by the Ministry of Health and Ghana Health Service, the war against COVID-19 will be won.

Presenting the items, the Local Administration and Human Resource Manager, Mr. Mfum Kwakye posited that as partners in development in the municipality, they deemed it necessary to support the assembly in the fight against the covid 19.

He stressed on the need for residents to observe all the protocols issued by the government to stay safe.

Stay safe

For his part , the Paramount Chief of Kpone commended the management of Sunon Asogli Power Plant for items and tasked the assembly to use it to the benefit of the whole community.

He advice all to take the precautionary measures seriously and stay safe .
