Kofi Kusi wins Asante-Akyem Rural Bank promotion

Mr Kofi Kusi, a Konongo-based businessman, at the weekend became the lucky one when he won a GH¢25,000 Hyundai saloon car during the third and final consolation draw of a raffle organised by the Asante-Akyem Rural Bank (ARB), at a well-attended ceremony at Kononogo.

The bank also paid about GH¢5,000 to cover insurance cost of the vehicle up to August this year.

According to the conditions of the raffle, a customer or an interested person was eligible to invest GH¢200 to win a consolation prize while an amount in excess of GH¢200 could also be invested to qualify a customer to for the car raffle draw.

Mr Kusi, who invested GH¢12,000 for the promotion, also won a microwave in a raffle held in a transparent manner. 

Apart from the car, 45 consolation prizes were also given out to customers.

One Ama Fosuaa popularly called 'Mama Evelyn", a business woman, who invested GH¢4,000, also took home the highest number of consolation prizes of four items,  including a deep-freezer, a standing fan, a gas burner and a wall clock.

The General Manager of the bank, Mr Atta- Gyamfi, disclosed that the raffle dubbed "ASAKYEM SAVE AND WIN PROMO", was instituted six months ago to reward customers of the bank and also to win more savings clients, especially those who did not save with the bank.

Mr  Atta-Gyamfi said the first consolation raffle draw was held at Odumasi on November 15, 2014 where 25 prizes were given out, and the second consolation draw was also held at Agogo on November 25, 2014 where the same number of prizes were also given out.

He disclosed that the items supplied to customers in the three areas, which included deep-freezers, mobile phones, pressing irons, standing fans, microwave ovens, flat-screen television cooking utensils and four-burner gas cookers with oven were valued at over GH¢40, 000.   

Mr Atta- Gyamfi hinted that the next promotion would be more attractive because according to him, more items would be supplied.

He however advised the people to continue to have confidence in the bank as it was always at their disposal to relieve them of their sufferings.

 The General Manager re-emphasised that, the astronomical growth of the Bank came about as a result of prudent measures,  coupled with dedication and commitment exhibited by the board and management of the bank,  as well as the hard work of the entire staff and the absolute support of the bank’s valued customers.

He said the bank, established 30 years ago with eight branches as of now, has a deposit of GH¢18million, assets base of GH¢ 26.6 million and a share capital of GH¢420, 000 which had exceeded the Bank of Ghana’s (BOG) target of GH¢300, 000.

The chairman of the occasion was the Asante-Akim North Central Municipal Coordinating Director MCD), Mr Opoku Nkansah,  who deputised for the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Alhaji Boyon,  commended the bank for its achievements and innovations which he described as unprecedented.

He said the assembly was in direct link with the bank, and noted that, the bank’s cooperation and assistance to the assembly was overwhelming.

He therefore advised the people in the municipality and the people of Asante-AKim in general to patronise the services of the bank so as to benefit from its dynamic and pragmatic financial policies.

The Deputy Board Chairman of the bank Mr Francis Apeadu,  urged all to embrace the bank.

He noted that the bank was committed to transforming the fortunes of the people, especially those in its catchment areas.

He therefore urged the people to take advantage of the numerous products.

Nana Batafo Akyeampong-Nti II, Konongohene, who was represented by his Adontehene, Nana Karikari Apau, praised the bank for its achievements.

He advised the people that the bank had truly demonstrated that it  had solution to their problems and therefore urged them to save with it.

He commended the board, management and the entire staff of the bank for their efforts and urged them to keep it up.
