Kofi Boakye now Commissioner of Police

The Ashanti Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Mr Nathan Kofi Boakye, has been promoted to the rank of a Commissioner of Police (COP).

A statement signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mr Freeman Tettey of the Police Public Affairs Directorate and issued in Accra yesterday said the promotion was done by President John Mahama, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces.
According to the statement, the promotion took effect from June 1, 2016.
“The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr John Kudalor, expresses his heartiest congratulations to COP Mr Nathan Kofi Boakye,” it said.
