Kid Aid Society, a non-governmental organization (NGO) has marked its one year anniversary by addressing some challenges confronting the Weep Not Child Orphanage at Ahwerease Damang in the Eastern Region of Ghana by donating various items to the orphanage.
The orphanage received some stationeries, toiletries, boxes of distilled bottle water, detergents, and gallons of cooking oil.
The rest are mattresses, boxes of drinks, and cartons of milk.
The Founder of Kid Aid Society, Ms. Dorothy Oforiwa Yeboah stated that the donation was in line with the core objective of the foundation.
The Foundation, she said was established to provide for the less privileged in the society, the sick, and persons who have been neglected, particularly children.
“Kid Aid Society is motivated to be of help to the vulnerable. We are guided by the principles of our foundation to be the support systems that these lovely ones need in their lives” she said.
Ms Yeboah indicated that there was the need to give back to the society and as such the gesture was not only a fulfillment of their duties but was also aimed at resourcing the orphanage.
