Inestfly Africa wins Gold Award

Inesfly Africa, producers of insecticide paints, has won a Gold Award in business service excellence for its contribution towards promoting socio-economic development.

The award presented to the company at the ninth Ghana Business and Financial Services Excellence Awards, organised under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, was in recognition of the outstanding performance of Inesfly Africa in providing innovative products and services.

Held to recognise and honour companies for innovation, quality products and services and performance excellence, the awards ceremony, held in Accra on Friday, had the theme, “Promoting Ghana’s economic development.”

Inesfly, which is noted for innovative products such as its flagship insecticide paints, insecticide sprays as well as pesticides, was recognised for its contribution to the health and agriculture sectors, as well as boosting Ghana’s export industry as it uses Ghana as a hub to feed other African countries.

Inesfly Africa, a subsidiary of Interplast, recently signed a distribution deal with Solvochem, to export to East Africa, in addition to its increasing exports to West African countries.

Commendation

The Trade and Industry Minister, Mr. Ekow Spio-Garbrah, who was the guest speaker, commended the award winners for their contribution to national economic development.

He urged others to emulate the performance of the award winners to boost the local production and export trade sector to support the growth of the economy.

The Chief Executive Officer of Inesfly Africa, Mr. Michael Sjodin, in his remarks, expressed the company’s delight for the honour, saying it is the outcome of innovative business practice that  remains the hallmark of the firm.

“Inesfly Africa remains committed to improving the lives of Ghanaians and Africans as a whole through the different range of products we offer,” he said, adding that the company would continue to develop innovative products to address the changing needs of the citizenry in the areas of health, education, agriculture and corporate development.

He dedicated the award to the workers of the company, and promised that the company, established about three years ago, would not compromise on quality, adding that it was pursuing an expansion strategy that would also create more jobs for Ghanaians.
