Ibrahim Mahama donates food for 10,000 households as part of Covid-19 fight

The Chief Executive Officer of Engineers & Planners, Mr Ibrahim Mahama has donated food items and undisclosed amounts of cash to the National Chief Imam, Sheik Nuhu Sharabutu, the St. James Catholic Church at Osu, the Christ the King Catholic Church in Accra and some individual households within the Greater Accra Region and its environs as part of a relief effort in the fight against the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Ghana.

The items would be distributed to about 10,000 households in deprived communities in the Greater Accra Region.

This is expected to support the vulnerable as part of the fight against the disease.

The items included 5,000 bags of rice, 12,000 bottles of cooking oil and 20,000 cans of mackerel to support struggling families who are affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.

The items were distributed to the recipients in the various parts of Accra at the weekend by Mr Ibrahim Mahama and his team of officers.

The recipients expressed their gratitude to Mr Mahama for his timely intervention.

Ghana’s count of Covid-19 cases reached 1,042, with nine deaths and 99 recoveries on Sunday, April 19, 2020.
