The Ministry of Health will undertake a nationwide mop-up recruitment exercise to replace applicants who have refused to report to their various selected districts and facilities.
According to a notice issued on October 3 and signed by spokesperson Tony Goodman, the exercise is scheduled for Monday, October 5, 2026 at 11 am.
A total of 432 slots are available. Teaching hospitals have 266 vacancies for nurses, CHAG facilities have 133, and GHS has 30 nursing vacancies. Nursing professionals account for 429 slots, with 266 for teaching hospitals and 133 for CHAG and 30 for GHS.
Pharmacy professionals account for 36 slots, comprising five pharmacists and 31 pharmaceutical technicians.
