Mr Jerome Nutsegah was found dead with blood splashed over his body at 8 a.m. by one of the teachers, Ms Delight Agbesi, when she went to the laboratory.

According to her, the deceased had his trousers halfway down, his shirt torn, shoes removed and left cheek swollen.

When the Daily Graphic visited the scene at 10 a.m., the body of Mr Nutsegah was being conveyed to the Police Hospital for preservation and autopsy.

Some parents were also there with their children at the entrance of the eight-room apartment, which housed the pupils.

Pain and sorrow was registered on the faces of some of the onlookers who had converged on the school premises, located behind Starr FM.

Later, the family of Mr Nutsegah, in the company of the police, returned from the hospital to temporarily close down the school to pave the way for police investigation.

Speaking to the Daily Graphic, a parent, Mr Mawuli Atsu Attipoe, said he received a call from Mr Nutsegah a day before his death.
“He called me around 10:00 p.m. last Monday but I did not give him audience because I thought he was going to ask me about school fees,” he said.

According to Mr Attipoe, he was a close friend to the deceased and knew some of the issues he had with the original landlord of the building that housed the school.

“The place has been leased to Mr Nutsegah for 20 years but he had some misunderstanding with the brother of the landlord,” he said.
When contacted, a source at the Nima Police Station said until investigations got underway it was too early to comment.
