The trial of the former Chief Executive Officer of the National Food and Buffer Stock Company (NAFCo), Hanan Abdul-Wahab Aludiba, and his wife, Faiza Seidu Wuni, has been adjourned to October 20, 2026, to allow them time to access information on mobile phones and laptops recently released to them by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
The trial was expected to commence Wednesday, October 7, 2026, but the trial judge, Justice Francis Achibonga, adjourned the case to enable the accused persons to access the information on the electronic devices and prepare their defence.
Lawyers for the accused persons argued that they needed certain information contained on the mobile phones and laptops to adequately prepare their defence to the charges levelled against them.

Devices released
EOCO on Monday, October 5, 2026, released monies and electronic devices seized from the couple as part of investigations into allegations that they caused financial loss of GH¢62.6 million to the state.
The devices included mobile phones and laptops which the accused persons said contained information required for their defence.
The court subsequently adjourned the case to October 20, 2026, to give the accused persons time to access the information and prepare for the trial.
